Performance & Durability

Silestone achieves a Mohs hardness rating of 7 — significantly harder than marble (3-4) and comparable to natural granite (6-7). This makes it highly resistant to scratching from everyday kitchen tools, though we recommend using cutting boards to preserve the surface finish long-term.

Yes. Silestone quartz is engineered with a non-porous surface structure, meaning liquids cannot penetrate the material. Unlike granite, Silestone requires no sealing and resists staining from wine, coffee, oils, and acidic foods. The Hygienic Barrier N+ in N-Boost models also provides antimicrobial protection.
Installation & Maintenance

Silestone offers slabs in standard sizes (3050×1440mm) and Jumbo format (3200×1500mm) for countertops requiring fewer visible seams. Thickness options include 12mm, 20mm, and 30mm. Jumbo slabs are ideal for kitchen islands and bathroom wet walls where a seamless aesthetic is paramount.

Minor chips can be repaired using a matching colour epoxy repair kit available through authorised Silestone dealers. For larger cracks or structural damage, we recommend contacting a certified fabricator. Our resources section contains a full care and repair guide.
Purchasing & Availability

Silestone pricing varies by collection, thickness, and regional market. As a guide, installed kitchen countertops typically range from €250–€600/m² depending on the series and fabrication complexity. We recommend requesting a quote through our dealer network for accurate project pricing.
